Sessions to suit you

Find your perfect class

Seated yoga is a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. An all inclusive way to practise yoga. Regardless of age, ailment or body size. It opens up the benefits and joy of yoga for everyone!

Why not come along and try Seated Yoga in Kettering, at the Ironstone Wellbeing Centre.

Introduction to Seated YOGA

Chair yoga is simply yoga with a chair, used as a prop in many ways. Supporting those with limited or no mobility, helping anyone recovering from surgery or living with chronic and on going illness to return to practise. It can be used to advance yoga postures for those who have no restriction but want to experience a different kind of practise by just using the chair like any other prop.

Breath remains our focus and asana’s are simply modified to accommodate the chair and you. Think of a posture and we can do it using the chair. We can stay seated and also use it as support. It allows us to fit a practise around your specific needs and requirements – the opportunities are endless

You will stretch, increase your flexibility and mobility and general improve your overall mental wellbeing

As with many forms of exercise, seated yoga can be modified for people of varying abilities. Our yoga classes are suitable for all levels. We have expert teachers who can adapt and guide you throughout so you will leave feeling relaxed, recharged and energised.
