In light of the current situation regarding Coronavirus please see below some answers to frequently asked questions and the procedures we are implementing. Our Ironstone family is incredibly important to us and we are grateful for your continued support. We will continue to keep you updated via email, this web page and our Facebook page as the situation develops. Thank you for your support.
Q: When will you be reopening?
A: We will be reopening our doors on the 3rd August 2020 at 9am.
Q: When will memberships be activated, and payment taken?
A: All our memberships are currently paused. Payment for all memberships will be taken on the 3rd August and will reactivate from this day. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Q: What has happened to all existing class packs?
A: All those who have purchased class packs in the past and have credits remaining will have had their class pack expiration extended. As soon as we reopen these will all be reactivated.
Q: If I have a cough or a high temperature but I feel fine can I still come to class?
A: No, if you have a cough and/or a high temperature or are experiencing any symptoms or feeling unwell for your safety and the health and safety of everyone please do not attend class.
Q: Do I need to bring my own equipment?
A: We are asking all customers to bring their own mat, towels and props. Ironstone will not be offering any for now.
Q: What extra precautions are you taking to prevent the virus?
A: At Ironstone we have taken the decision to revise our timetable. The main changes include staggered start times and a one-way entrance and exit system which is clearly signposted. We have also reduced class sizes to 9 plus the instructor to ensure we are following 2 metre social distancing, have implemented additional cleaning practices, provided additional hand sanitiser stations and will be stressing the importance of good hygiene amongst our users. We are reviewing the government advice daily and will constantly be reacting and adapting our approach. For now, we are asking all customers to bring their own mat, towels, and props.
Q: How is social distancing being implemented?
We will be installing signage throughout the centre to help keep your distance and to highlight our one-way system and mat positioning procedures. 2m social distancing should always be adhered to where possible. We would like to take this opportunity to remind all attendees to follow social distancing guidelines when present at Ironstone. Our instructors are not allowed to do any hands-on adjustments.
Q: Will I need to wear a mask?
We ask that you arrive and leave wearing a mask, however, as in line with government advice, you do not need to wear one in class.
Q: What is the one-way system?
A: We will be moving the entrance to the side door of the centre so you will be entering via the café area. The reception desk has also been moved to here. Any classes in studio 1 will exit via the back door leading on to the patio area. Studio 2 and 3 (Upstairs studios) will leave via the original front door. (We will create a video next week to show this)
Q: How is the timetable affected?
A: Class times across all 3 studios have been staggered to prevent everyone arriving for classes at the same time. There will be no back to back classes within the studios. All classes are staggered at least 15 minutes apart to allow people to safely leave and arrive and for cleaning procedures to be implemented. Place your mat on one of the markings displayed. 9 people plus the instructor can attend a class.
Q: What to do on arrival?
A: Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to start of you class. On arrival report to the reception desk, via the side door. Go straight to the directed studio. Take your shoes off before entering but take them in with you and wait on your mat for the class to start.
Q: Will the Changing rooms be open?
We advise all clients to attend the centre “class ready.” Shoes will need to be removed before entering the studio but please take them in with you and store them by your mat for the class duration. No changing or shower facilities will be available for now. Toilets will be available if needed but please arrive prepared!
Q: Can I pause my membership if I have to self-isolate or come in contact with anyone infected?
A: Yes. We will pause memberships for 3 weeks and extend class packs for 3 weeks at which point we will review the government advice and the current situation. Once your 3-week pause is up it is your responsibility to advise whether you are clear of symptoms and fit and healthy to come back to classes.
Q: If I am classed as high risk can I still pause my membership?
Yes, it remains our intention to safeguard our members, please contact the team for support in doing this.
Q: When will you be changing class sizes back to normal?
Currently reduced class sizes are planned until further notice. We will be continuously reviewing the situation based on government daily updates and will communicate any changes with members.
