Refresh and revitalise with a power flow.  A challenging, but accessible, class that will develop your strength, deepen your flexibility and unite your body and mind.

INTRODUCTION TO POWER FLOW YOGA

Refresh and revitalise with a power flow.  A challenging, but accessible, class that will develop your strength, deepen your flexibility and unite your body and mind.  We will work on building a strong core, establishing the skills to allow you to achieve more complex asanas over time. 

Levelled variations will be offered so you can work at your own pace, and track your progression.  The flow will close with soothing breathing exercises and a gentle meditation, allowing you to drift into a blissful, deep savasana.   This class will be accompanied by energising lemon and peppermint essential oils.

Benefits of Power Flow Yoga

Improved Flexibility and Range – A Power Flow class works the whole body due to the variety of movements incorporated throughout a class. You will notice an improvement in your range of motion if you stick to regular practice.

Strengthens Your Body – The poses in Power Flow yoga can improve your balance significantly, as well as help with leg strength and muscle control. This practice will work all parts of the body and with regular attendance increased functional strength will develop.

Connecting with the breath – The breath is a powerful tool when it comes to our well-being. If we can learn to connect with the breath, energy also known as the prana, will begin to flow more freely. By allowing our energy to flow, this will give us the skills and tools to push through any emotional and physical blockages. Therefore, allowing us to free both body and mind and relax.

Focuses Your Mind – Yoga encourages a mindful state, helping you to feel relaxed and calm reducing stress levels.

Cardiovascular health – A Flow class is often fast paced making it a great cardiovascular exercise class. Moving with the breath increases your heart rate.

What to bring?

For now, due to Covid we will not be providing mats. You will therefore be required to bring your own. We will provide blocks and straps. 

A hot yoga towel to prevent slipping in hot and warm classes.

Water – Hydration before, during and after hot yoga is key.

Our changing facilities and toilets are available. 

We have onsite parking.

Pricing

A drop in class for Power Flow Yoga in Kettering at the Ironstone Wellbeing Centre is £13 a session. The price can be greatly reduced by purchasing a membership or class pack.
