Find your perfect class

Tai chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for defence, for its health benefits and for meditation. Qigong (pronounced chee gong) refers to a range of Chinese exercise systems combining posture and movement with breathing and meditation. It is used to promote health and sometimes used as part of martial arts training.

Why not come along and try Tai Chi in Kettering, at the Ironstone Wellbeing Centre.

Introduction to Tai Chi

Our classes incorporate aspects of both Tai Chi and Qigong practice. The movements combine slow moving stretches and standing postures with quiet regulation of your breathing and mindful attention.

Tai chi is commonly performed as a low-impact exercise. Which means it won’t put much pressure on your bones and joints. Regular practice leads to more vigour and flexibility, better balance and mobility, as well as a sense of well-being.

Studies demonstrate health benefits in many areas. Including, improved cardiovascular and respiratory function. Energise yourself whilst harmonising mind and body!

As with many forms of exercise, Tai Chi can be modified for people of varying abilities. Our classes are suitable for all levels. We have expert teachers who can adapt and guide you throughout so you will leave feeling relaxed, recharged and energised. Why not try Tai Chi in Kettering at the Ironstone Wellbeing Centre!
