Mindfulness Meditation can take many different forms, it isn’t all sitting in silence and completely closing your mind down (which without a lot of practice, isn’t an easy thing to do!). In these sessions, we will cover different types of meditation, with you being guided through the practice each week.

No previous meditation experience is required for these classes. In these sessions, we will cover different types of meditation, with you being guided through the practice each week.
A few examples of the types of meditation we will cover include breathing meditation, chakra meditation and body scan meditation where we sync the body and mind. We will also introduce the concept of yoga nidra (also commonly known as ‘yogic sleep’) which is a powerful technique for relaxation and very easy to practice.
These sessions are aimed at giving you a peaceful break, but also bringing a sense of renewal for the rest of your day. Our classes are suitable for all levels. We have expert teachers who can adapt and guide you throughout so you will leave feeling relaxed, recharged and energised. Improves Sleep – All of us at some point in our life have struggled to sleep, due to a million things racing through our minds. Studies have shown that people who meditate are found to not only fall asleep quicker but stay asleep for much longer. We break down our meditation practice in to 3 x 15 minute sections.
1st – Settling into your meditation, using breath worth, visualisation and calming techniques to help ground you.
2nd – Mindfulness meditation, learning techniques you can take away with you to also support you & your day to day life. Train and focus the mind to support you with your mental health.
3rd – Relaxation – Moving into relaxation to fully relax in your meditation and then moving onto sound.
For now, due to Covid we will not be providing mats. You will therefore be required to bring your own. We will provide blocks and straps
It is a good idea to bring an extra comfortable layer to keep warm as we will be still for the majority of the class.
Water – Hydration all day is key.
Our changing facilities and toilets are available.
We have onsite parking.
A drop-in Meditation class is £8 a session. The price can be greatly reduced by purchasing a membership or Ironstone Dance and Wellbeing class packs or regular class pack.
