Improved Confidence Levels – Regular practice, involving the mastering of new poses and challenges enables a child to build confidence. Weekly success and development will really leave your child feeling a great sense of achievement. The classes encourage sharing and over the weeks you will notice a difference in your child. Even our reception staff at the Ironstone Wellbeing Centre have noticed the growth in confidence levels of the children who regularly attend, especially in how they are able to interact and share with our staff the news on what they have been up to in class.
Improved Concentration – Amongst the many benefits of children’s yoga improved concentration levels is one that we all could benefit from. Teachers and Parents have noticed improvements in the ability for a child to focus and sustain attention after regular yoga practice. Behaviour is also likely to improve.
Improve Coordination and Balance – Yoga is a brilliant way of working on coordination and balance. The poses in yoga challenge the whole body. The fact that each pose is repeated on both sides of body allows us to work in symmetry. One side may be easier than the other, but practicing both sides will develop body coordination and will challenge and improve motor development in your child.
Focuses Your Mind – Yoga encourages a mindful state, helping you to feel relaxed and calm reducing stress levels. Learning techniques to help you calm are great for later in life when you have to sit exams or are agitated over something.
